Just on “what even counts as labour”, I was thinking about the instahelp model. Have you noticed they employ exclusively women? The app even has a rule that a woman must be present in the house while they work (for safety reasons ofc)
There are male roles like cleaners, plumbers, electricians, who charge per task. The “women’s jobs” (cooking, cleaning, bartan) are charged by the hour - as if these tasks don’t count as work, only time.
